Devaughn “Deezo” Wright Pita, 23, a man from Honolulu, died after being shot on August 9, 2025, inside the housing area of the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific in Wahiawa. He was taken to a nearby medical facility, where he succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest; the Honolulu medical examiner later ruled the death a homicide. His family's obituary notice placed his death in Wahiawa on that date and announced services in Honolulu.
