In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 27, 2025, a gathering in Ashburn, Georgia, turned fatal for 35-year-old Sinclair Wynn. The male victim, from Sycamore, was attending a get-together at a home in the 300 block of West End Street when an argument erupted between him and another man.
The verbal altercation escalated tragically when the other individual, identified as 31-year-old Zachary Taylor Brown-Earnest of Ashburn, allegedly shot Wynn. Despite being wounded, Wynn managed to run to his car before collapsing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ashburn Police Department responded to the shooting at approximately 12:55 a.m. and subsequently requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation around 1:05 a.m. The investigation that followed led to the arrest of Brown-Earnest.
Zachary Taylor Brown-Earnest was charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with Sinclair Wynn's death. The case is set to be handed over to the Tift Judicial District Attorney's Office for prosecution. The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events that led to the deadly confrontation.
