Jeannessa Caillean Lurie, a 24-year-old White female from San Jose, was killed in the early morning hours of September 16, 2025, during a triple shooting at a home on the 200 block of Chynoweth Avenue. Police received multiple 911 calls about gunfire and a woman screaming just after 12:25 a.m. Officers found one woman outside with gunshot wounds who later died at a hospital; inside, they discovered another woman deceased and a man who later succumbed to his injuries.
