Trent Harris, 45, a Black man, was found fatally wounded just after midnight on June 2, 2025, when Montgomery police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of East Sixth Street and Teague Street, close to Carter Hill Road. Officers located him with a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene, marking a quiet residential corner with flashing lights and crime-scene tape in the first hours of the morning.
