Andre Griffin, 58, a Black male from Wilmer, Alabama, was found shot to death late on the night of June 10, 2025, inside a home on the 14000 block of Mort Road. Deputies with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office arrived around 10:51 p.m. and discovered him with a fatal gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Multiple local outlets reported that Griffin’s hands were in casts at the time deputies found him, a detail included in initial law-enforcement summaries.
