In the pre-dawn hours of a Friday in Wilmer, Alabama, a mobile home became the scene of a fatal shooting that would tear a family apart. Inside, 63-year-old Lyn Marvin Howard was shot multiple times with a. 40-caliber weapon, ending his life on September 2, 2016. The person charged with his murder was his own daughter, 38-year-old Christy Howell Crosby.
According to authorities, a witness was present and saw Crosby shoot her father.
Following her arrest, Crosby reportedly gave a reason for her actions, telling investigators that she had shot her father because of continuous abuse she had endured. The case was handled by the Mobile County authorities, who took Crosby into custody on a murder charge.
