In the quiet, remote area of Shady Grove Road, about 10 miles southeast of Marshall, Arkansas, a grim discovery was made on July 22, 2025. Mona Sloop, a 69-year-old female who lived alone, was found deceased in the driveway of her Leslie home. The Searcy County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene, and it soon became apparent that this was not a death of natural causes. Her body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock to determine the cause of death, which was later confirmed ...
