Belle Burkhard, a 74-year-old white female, was one of five elderly women murdered in 1987 at the Alpine Manor Nursing Home in Walker, Michigan. At the time of her death, Burkhard was a resident at the facility, where she was under the care of nurse's aides Catherine Wood and Gwendolyn Graham. The pair, later dubbed the “Lethal Lovers” and “Angels of Death,” carried out a series of killings that shocked the community and drew national attention.
