On July 30, 1992, the body of 27-year-old Adriane Hunter, an African American woman, was discovered in Goshen, New York. Hunter, who was from Middletown but also associated with Poughkeepsie, was found nude near the charred remains of the Hillcrest Manor Restaurant, having been brutally stabbed 47 times. She was a mother to two daughters.
