Timothy Barnes, a 24-year-old Oakland resident, was tragically killed on May 20, 2011, in a shooting that occurred in the 2400 block of 90th Avenue in Oakland, California. Barnes was found on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene, and his death was one of many homicides that contributed to Oakland's significant spike in violent crime that year.
