Linda Ann Ortega, a 37-year-old Hispanic woman, was found dead on April 29, 1988, in the hills near Franklin Street in Lake Elsinore, California. Her body was discovered west of Interstate 15 and north of Railroad Canyon Road. She had been stabbed in the heart, and her body showed signs of mutilation. Toxicology reports revealed high levels of alcohol and cocaine in her system at the time of death.
