On April 4, 1999, 31-year-old Debra Lynn Harris, a white female, and her 8-year-old daughter, Ambria Halliburton, were found brutally murdered in their home. The mother and daughter had been stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife, a detail that painted a grim and violent picture of their final moments.
The crime scene, described by investigators as gruesome, left a lasting scar on the local community and law enforcement.
In the initial stages of the investigation, two names emerged as potential suspects: Angel Resendez Ramirez and, more notably, the notorious serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells.
