Kazimiera Paruch, a 43-year-old white female of Polish descent, was brutally murdered on March 4, 1997, in Chicago, Illinois. She had been advertising her condominium for sale when she encountered her killer. According to investigators, she was sexually assaulted and strangled before her home was set on fire in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence. The crime scene bore signs of calculated violence, and the fire was determined to be arson.
