Lauren Marquez, a 28-year-old Hispanic woman, was one of the known victims of serial killer Joel Rifkin. Although some sources list her age as 30, most records indicate she was born in 1965 and died in 1993, placing her at 27 or 28 at the time of her death. She had moved to New York City in hopes of building a better life for herself and her two children. Tragically, her aspirations were cut short when she encountered Rifkin, whose killing spree spanned from 1989 to 1993.
