Clara Louise Paulett—female, 72 years old and the long-time manager of Williamsburg’s Raleigh Motel—was discovered shot in the head around lunchtime on January 30 1984. Her body lay inside the motel office alongside that of her housekeeper, 43-year-old female Chestine Brooks, after what investigators quickly labeled an execution-style double homicide.
