In early January 2024, the quiet life of 88-year-old Norma Jean Clyde came to a tragic end in her Williamsburg, Virginia home. On the evening of January 3rd, police officers were dispatched to the residence on Cutspring Arch to conduct a welfare check. What they discovered inside was a somber scene that suggested a final act of despair.
Upon entering the house, authorities found Norma Jean and her 87-year-old husband, Ury Eugene Clyde, both deceased. Each had sustained a single gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation into the deaths quickly pointed towards a murder-suicide. Investigators believe that Ury shot his wife before turning the handgun on himself.
