In November 1980, skeletal remains of two individuals were discovered in a shallow grave in a remote part of the Mojave Desert near Ludlow, California. One of the victims was identified as William Everette Lane, a 19-year-old male at the time of his death. The other victim was Pamela Dianne Duffey, a 20-year-old female. Both victims had suffered gunshot wounds and blunt force trauma, and their bodies were found unclothed, with no identifying information.
