Joyce Lucille Brown Nelson, a 60-year-old woman of Caucasian descent, was tragically murdered in her home in Monterey Park, Los Angeles County, California, on the night of July 6, 1985. She was asleep on her couch when Richard Ramirez, infamously known as the 'Night Stalker,' broke into her residence. Ramirez brutally beat Joyce Nelson to death before ransacking her home for valuables.
