Daemon S. Francis, a 4-year-old boy, was tragically murdered on January 25, 1973, in Santa Cruz County, California. His death was part of a series of killings committed by Herbert Mullin, a man who had embarked on a violent spree that claimed multiple lives. Daemon Francis, along with his mother, Kathy Prentiss Francis, 29, and his older brother, David Hughes, 9, were found dead in their remote cabin outside Santa Cruz on January 24, 1973.
