Sandra Mae “Sandy” Dykman Smallegan, a 19-year-old Caucasian woman, tragically lost her life on February 10, 1974, in Manhattan, Montana. Her death was linked to the crimes of David Gail Meirhofer, a serial killer who operated in rural Montana between 1967 and 1974. Meirhofer, a resident of Manhattan, Montana, had a history of violent crimes, including the abduction and murder of multiple victims, most of whom were children.
