62-year-old Ricky Langs, a Black man from Fort Worth, Texas, was tragically killed in a suspected road rage shooting on January 27, 2025. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on the northbound service road of Loop 820, just before the Meadowbrook exit. Authorities responded to reports of a gray sedan blocking a lane and discovered Langs unconscious in the driver’s seat, suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
