On February 7, 2025, 18-year-old African American male Jaden Tyler Reese was fatally shot in Spring, Texas, during a meetup arranged for a marijuana transaction. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. near Hickory Twig Way and Cypresswood Drive. During the exchange, an attempted robbery took place, leading to Jaden being shot multiple times while driving.
