On January 25, 2025, Kimberly Carlene Newcomb, a 59-year-old woman, was found shot multiple times in her home in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She was discovered alongside her husband, Charles William Childress, 61, in their residence on Heatherwood Drive. Authorities responded to the scene after a concerned individual reported that they had not heard from the couple and conducted a wellness check.
