On the morning of March 20, 2025, a tragic shooting occurred at the Shore Stop convenience store on Lankford Highway in Accomack County, Virginia. The victims were 56-year-old Indian American man Pradipkumar Ratilal Patel and his 24-year-old daughter, Urmi Pradipbhai Patel. Both were employees at the store, which was owned by a relative.
