In the spring of 2025, a tragedy befell a Hispanic/Latino male teenager from Tacoma, Washington. On the night of April 12th, 16-year-old Marco Teran was fatally wounded in a shooting. The incident took place near the 4200 block of Portland Avenue East. Shortly after 10 p.m., Teran and another man arrived at a local hospital, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
