In the Salishan neighborhood of Tacoma, Washington, on the evening of April 20, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the night, tragically cutting short the life of 17-year-old Veron Cordae Lockett. A junior and varsity football player at Mount Tahoma High School, Veron was known for his infectious smile and relentless spirit, both on and off the field.
