On April 9, 2025, four-year-old Hispanic male Jrako Alexander Castillo tragically lost his life in a shooting incident at a residence on the 2900 block of East Bates Street in Lubbock, Texas. Emergency responders arrived at the scene following a report of shots fired at approximately 5:21 p.m. They found the child with a gunshot wound and administered first aid before transporting him to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
