On the morning of January 18, 2025, Memphis police officers responded to a shooting near Shady Vista Drive and Bethlehem Avenue in the Frayser neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered Montrell Brown, an African American male, inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
