In the early hours of January 13, 2025, the life of 17-year-old Ja’Mareion Deangelo Crawford was tragically cut short. The young, Black/African American male from Eutawville, South Carolina, was fatally shot at a residence on Boo Circle in Santee. Known affectionately as “Mari,” Crawford was a junior at Lake Marion High School & Technology Center, where he was pursuing a future in masonry.
