On January 1, 2025, 27-year-old Haitian-American woman Rodline Anacreon was fatally shot outside her apartment complex at 725 Villa Road in Springfield, Ohio. The suspect, 38-year-old Stanley Casimir, who was her ex-boyfriend and the father of their twin 5-month-old boys, called 911 shortly after the incident to confess to the killing.
