On January 8, 2025, 50-year-old white male Judah Ben Taylor of Morrisville, North Carolina, was fatally shot inside a home on Lions Court in Durham. Durham police responded to a 911 call around 1:30 a.m., where they found Taylor deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound. The incident was initially treated as a homicide investigation.
