On January 26, 2025, 16-year-old African American male Antonio Lamont Campbell Jr. of Ridgeville, South Carolina, was fatally shot outside The Exotic Bar & Lounge located at 1250 Old Gilliard Road. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m., and upon arrival, deputies from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office found Antonio deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds.
