Law enforcement officials responded to a shooting incident at a residence in Weaverville, where they discovered Crenshaw deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities identified him as the victim on January 14, 2025. Following an investigation, law enforcement determined that the suspect in the shooting was Timothy Becker. Becker was subsequently charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with Crenshaw’s death.
