Johnnie Franks, a 2-year-old boy, tragically lost his life on August 8, 1960, in Weaverville, North Carolina. The circumstances surrounding his death were deeply distressing, as he was a victim of domestic violence. On that fateful day, Johnnie, along with his sister Diane Franks, brother Wayne Rexford Franks Jr., and their grandmother Bertha Franks Holcombe, were all senselessly taken from their family and friends.
