On January 18, 2025, Nakia "Fatty" Feon Ellison II, a 29-year-old male, was fatally shot in Red Springs, North Carolina. Deputies from the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4300 block of Blue Springs Road at approximately 1:03 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers attempted life-saving measures, but they were ultimately unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
