On the morning of April 27, 2025, 19-year-old Black male Kaisan Haveyan Henderson was fatally shot in Seagoville, Texas. The incident occurred near Fountain Drive and Canterbury Drive in the Seagoville Farms subdivision. Just hours earlier, Kaisan had attended his girlfriend's prom, marking what should have been a joyful milestone in his young life.
According to reports, around 11:29 AM, a black sedan approached the area where Kaisan was walking.
The driver, identified as 51-year-old Larry Robertson, exited the vehicle armed with a rifle and opened fire on Kaisan. Witnesses reported that Kaisan attempted to flee and may have returned fire, but he was struck multiple times, including in the chest. Emergency responders arrived promptly, and Kaisan was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Surveillance footage obtained by authorities showed the altercation, with both individuals appearing to display weapons around the same time. However, no weapon was recovered from Kaisan at the scene. Robertson was apprehended shortly after the incident near a motel off Highway 175, still in possession of the loaded rifle. He has been charged with murder and remains in custody at the Seagoville Holding Facility as investigations continue.
Kaisan was remembered by family and friends as an aspiring rap artist who "loved life." He enjoyed playing video games with his cousins and mowing lawns in his neighborhood.
