On January 29, 2025, Emone Anthony Tyrone McGougan, a 20-year-old Black male from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was fatally shot in the 300 block of Round Tree Drive. Responding officers discovered him with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
