Shawn J. Hawkins Jr., a 30-year-old African American man, was fatally shot in his home on Second Street SW in Canton, Ohio, on the morning of February 12, 2025. The incident occurred following an argument between Hawkins and 18-year-old Money L. Baccus, who lived in the same residence. According to reports, the dispute escalated when Hawkins took Baccus' phone and began going through it.
