Death by Force

On the evening of April 18, 2025, 34-year-old African American man Samson Green was fatally shot outside the Crown Inn motel on Bamberg Highway in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. Deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 8:30 p.m. and found Green deceased at the scene. According to the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, a group of men arrived in a black SUV, exited the vehicle, and opened fire on Green before fleeing the scene.
