On the evening of Saturday, April 26, 2025, 17-year-old Adrien Mikinge Totty, an African American male from Dayton, Ohio, was fatally shot near a playground within the Whitmore Arms Apartments on Midway Avenue. Dayton police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire around 7:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Adrien suffering from a gunshot wound.
