On April 28, 2025, Jamal Jones, a 34-year-old man, was fatally shot in Columbus, Ohio, during an attempted robbery at an apartment on Fountain Lane. Columbus police responded to multiple calls reporting gunfire in the area at approximately 4:08 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported him to Mount Carmel East Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:38 a.m.
