On the night of April 19, 2025, Concord, North Carolina police responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Princess Avenue Southwest around 10:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered 65-year-old African American female Miriam Renee Blue-Hopkins deceased from a gunshot wound.
