In the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, a dispute that began on a city bus tragically escalated, ending the life of 16-year-old Sincere Jazmin on a Wednesday afternoon. Sincere, a Black male who was a student at John Bowne High School and an aspiring rapper and fashion designer, was shot once in the chest after exiting a Q83 MTA bus at the corner of Liberty Avenue and 172nd Street on March 26, 2025. The argument had started on the bus with another teenager who attended a different high school.
