On a cold January evening, just a day after his 50th birthday, Dennis A. Sharkey Jr. was driving his white Chevrolet Spark south on Interstate 29 in Kansas City, Missouri. It was around 7 p.m. on January 10, 2025, and what began as a routine drive ended in a fatal encounter that would leave his loved ones searching for answers.
