Isaiah Caldwell, a 24-year-old man, was fatally shot on April 27, 2025, during an on-campus incident at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Caldwell was visiting the university at the time and was not an ECSU student. The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m., shortly after students had gathered for the annual Viking Fest Yard Fest in the quad area.
