Shunda Faye Brown, a 48-year-old woman from the Porterville community, was one of three victims in a tragic shooting that occurred on Christmas Eve 2024 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Brown was critically wounded in the incident at a residence on Northeast Cole Road and was transported to a hospital in Jackson for treatment. She ultimately succumbed to her injuries on December 27, 2024.
