On a July evening in 2018, the life of 27-year-old Jamie Scott Barron of Gadsden, Alabama, was cut short in the parking lot of a Hampton Inn on Highway 66 in Sevierville, Tennessee. The male victim was discovered in a truck with a fatal gunshot wound to his head and was later pronounced dead at LeConte Medical Center.
