Four-year-old Aubreeyonna Muex, a young African American girl, tragically lost her life on January 27, 2025, in Castle Point, an unincorporated area of St. Louis County, Missouri. The incident occurred in the home of her grandmother, 56-year-old Detrice Young, who has since been charged in connection with the child's death. According to investigators, Young was at home with her three grandchildren—ages 2, 4, and 11—along with two adult aunts when the tragedy unfolded.
