In the evening hours of December 30, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Northeast Baltimore, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Kyree Williams, a 26-year-old Black male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 1200 block of East Cold Spring Lane, directly in front of a fire station. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m., a time when the city was otherwise winding down.
Responding officers arrived at the scene to a grim discovery.
Williams was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life, but his injuries proved too severe. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, becoming another victim of the city's ongoing struggle with gun violence. The cause of his death was officially ruled a homicide by shooting.
