In a quiet Henderson neighborhood on April 30, 2025, the life of 53-year-old Leah Klass, a White/Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in what authorities would later describe as a murder-suicide. Police were called to a residence on Imperia Drive, near Grand Hills Drive and South Eastern Avenue, around 10:00 AM where they made a grim discovery. Inside the home, officers found Leah Klass deceased.
The Clark County coroner's office would later confirm that she had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and her death was ruled a homicide.
At the scene, Henderson police were confronted by 74-year-old Keith Sieber, who was armed with a handgun. For approximately 40 minutes, officers attempted to de-escalate the situation and communicate with the armed man. Despite their efforts, the standoff ended in further tragedy when Sieber turned the gun on himself. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The coroner officially ruled his death a suicide.
The investigation by the Henderson Police Department concluded that the incident was a murder-suicide. This event marked the third homicide in the city of Henderson for the year 2025. While the relationship between Leah Klass and Keith Sieber was not made public, authorities did not seek any other suspects in connection with the case.
